Dance & Movement work (regular classes)
I believe whole heartedly in the importance of movement work to unlock the Soul and understand its yearnings. Everyone can dance. It’s just connecting the dots to align to something more in us and letting it move us.
Yoga helps us realise how our physicality can be burdensome -we get trapped in our bodies and personalities.
Within the movement work we can begin to find our most creative and expressive forms and hear what lies in them.
Come and join us for a fusion of ballet, barre , yoga and 5 rhythms dancing. We combine strengthening and postural work of ballet and yoga with a range of inspiring music and choreographies. This is inspired by the season and the energies of the day.
A background of yoga, pilates, ballet is great but if not, you’ll be fine - we all begin with stepping out of our day shoes and onto dancing feet.

If the spirit is calm, it will translate into healthy energy (Qi or Prana).
‘A person’s physical tissues and processes are only as healthy as the Prana flowing through them’ writes Dr Claudia Welch in her book Balance your hormones, Balance your life.
Yoga became seasonally inspired and I began adjusting more using my hands, arms, feet.., all of me. I blended oils from my years working at Neal’s yard Remedies and added them to warmed base oils. I was learning how to extend myself with touch. I needed to bring more of the healing wisdom of Ayurveda into my teachings and work. Through ‘Abyhanga’ ; Ayurvedic Massage.
I had wanted to train since I was 18 and my first trip to India where I was fortunate to have an Ayurvedic consultation with a doctor in a local village. He Packed a huge pot of powdered herbs for me, which I went on to carry all around India and took home. I just wanted them with me as to take them was too bitter, the smell was too strong. Nevertheless, something felt good to have them with me - I felt something magical and potent in the idea of nature helping me to heal.
It took me some time to actually get started even though I had qualified in Swedish massage in my 20s. It took watching The Ayurvedic Clinic website for courses and calling and chatting to see my possibilities and raising the money. I was delighted to complete the course with Dr Deepa and her team in 2024 and began offering treatments the next day.
The treatment:
I like to have at least 90 minutes with you for the treatment. I use a combination of Ayruvedic oils, organic and infused with herbs where needed. I also work with Marma points and offer Pinda Sweda (technique applying warm cloths of cooked rice during the massage, again sometimes infused with herbs if needed).
It is important to get to know a little about you beforehand, so I can connect properly. Many of my clients will practice yoga or know me that way so I already know their bodies and imbalances. Most of my clients return repeatedly. This brings warmth, trust and deeper knowledge of your health, heart and wellbeing needs.
Body work and Massage is one of the most beautiful ways to bring you home… to nurture all of you for 90 minutes is an incredible lift for the body’s systems but also mental rest. Feeling held, supported, coming back to yourself and your deeper meaning places you in a quiet place of self honouring. This helps begin a reset.
Caring for ourselves is not optional, it’s essential
In these treatments, we can remind ourselves to just feel held, grounded, to let go a little and begin to harmonise again - a great compliment to your yoga practice.
It’s my pleasure to deliver a truly grounding, holistic treatment for you
